Purpose and service matters
Mike Manhas is the founder and organizer of SoberFest Victoria. Having lived an alcohol and substance-free lifestyle for over 12 years, Mike knows firsthand how difficult it can be to enjoy live music events when most festivals revolve around beer tents and substance use. He wanted to change that.
Seeing a gap in the live events landscape, Mike set out to create something different — a world-class music festival where anyone who chooses an alcohol and substance-free lifestyle could show up fully, have a great time, and feel completely at home. SoberFest was born from that vision: a high-energy, family-friendly celebration of music, community, and good vibes where the focus is entirely on the experience.
Mike's goal has always been simple — prove that the best nights of your life don't require a drink in your hand. SoberFest is his answer to every person who has ever stood at the edge of a festival crowd and felt like it wasn't built for them. It was, and it is.
Today, SoberFest Victoria stands as one of Canada's most unique live music events, drawing thousands of attendees each year who come for the artists, stay for the atmosphere, and leave knowing they belong here.
As a registered non-profit, the Foundation is committed to building stronger, healthier communities across British Columbia by supporting individuals, families, and community-based programs that promote wellness and inclusive living.
The Foundation believes that everyone deserves access to a supportive community and meaningful experiences — and that events like SoberFest play a real role in making that possible. Proceeds from SoberFest contribute directly to the Foundation's charitable initiatives, helping expand its reach and impact year over year.

The 2025 festival was a remarkable success — together, our community raised over $230,000 to support the Rewired Recovery Foundation's charitable programs and initiatives.
